Kara boondi: tiny crisp pearls of spiced gram flour batter, fried with peanuts, curry leaves and garlic. Eat it by the handful with tea, sprinkle it over curd rice or chaat, or stir it into raita. Made in Telangana by Swetha Telugu Foods. The pack states no added colours and no added preservatives.

Ingredients: Chickpea flour (50%), rice flour, refined peanut oil, peanut (5%), chilli powder (1%), salt, curry leaves, garlic, cumin.
